Flight continuously raises money to support Colorado Springs local schools and community projects through the Rotary Community Service Fund.
SCHOOL DISTRICT 11
Here is a sampling of D11 projects funded:

3-D printers and robotics for expanding learning opportunities;

Support for a wide variety of art and drama programs from elementary school through high school in D-11;

Scholarships for High School Seniors;

Recognition (cash, gifts and traveling plaque) for student nominated outstanding teachers in D-11 through the Rotary "Diamond Award" program;

Support for a children's' philharmonic project;
-
Consistent funding for the "Rotary Champions" program that recognizes outstanding High School athletes in D-11 schools;
-
Provides support for technical and engineering opportunities by supporting welding and fabrication programs in D-11;
-
On a smaller but grand scale, the FLIGHT project sponsored the study of Monarch migration from Mexico to Colorado Springs for a very interested group of first graders!

COMMUNITY PROJECTS
MARION HOUSE
The Rotary Community Service has also funded computers and instruction at the Marion House to assist the homeless in our community to find jobs.
OTHER SERVICE
This fund also supports underserved citizens in our community with food, supplies, dental work, and holiday gift-giving, to name a few.
